SOUTH HILLS PARK RENOVATION PROJECT
Park will be closed from March 1st, to June 29th, 2013
New amenities include;
- Fitness track around entire park
- Larger Playground with new play equipment including swings
- Improved restroom facilities
- Dog Park amenities
- New BBQ pits
- New shade structures
- Interactive harmony (musical) instruments
In June 2011 the City Council approved the new Parks and Trails Master Plan; that plan listed many elements missing from South Hills Park, such as improved restrooms and new play equipment. These renovations will accomplish the needs to make this location a destination park and make a positive impact to the surrounding community.
The plans for this project will be reviewed at the next Community Services Commission meeting on November 15, 2012 at 7:00p.m., held at the City Council Chambers 116 E. Foothill Blvd. If you have any questions or comments regarding this renovation please contact Andrea Miller Landscape/Contracts Supervisor, Parks Division at 626-852-4871.
