Planning Division: (626) 914-8214The Department of Planning and Redevelopment is responsible for regulating the development of the City through the General Plan, the Zoning Ordinance, and other applicable development laws and regulations.
Engineering Division: (626) 914-8246
The Engineering Division is responsible for plan checking, permitting and inspection of public improvements and grading operations, design and administration of budgeted capital improvement projects, administration of various maintenance districts, traffic signal operations and traffic safety.
Water Division: (626) 914-8254
In regards to construction, the Water Division is responsible for plan checking and sizing of water services and meters and the inspection of back-flow valves to prevent the City's water system from cross contamination. |

Los Angeles County Fire Department:
The Los Angeles County Fire Code authorized the Fire Chief to establish access, water supply and fire flow requirements. Plans for occupancies and fire protections systems require approval by the Fire Department. Plans should be submitted to the appropriate Fire Agency.
