The Flying Dutchman by Richard Wagner tells the legend of a ghost ship condemned to wander the oceans forever. An enthralling score, illuminated my striking stage imagery, takes us on a thrilling journey into an unsettling, mythic world, where a tormented spirit seeks true love as his redemption.
The Glendora Public Library and our Friends Foundation, along with community volunteers are pleased to partner with the LA Opera to present a series of Opera Talks. These are interactive presentations led by members of the LA Opera Speaker's Bureau, a team of trained volunteer experts. Each Opera Talk will be an insightful talk that will address the history, literature, philosophy and fine arts within the context of opera.
