The City of Glendora has seven Commissions and Boards acting in an advisory capacity to assist the City Council and City staff in the management of City affairs.
Appointments to these Commissions and Boards are made by City Council. The length of term varies for each commission or board. Notwithstanding the fixed term of office, members of Commissions and boards serve at will and at the pleasure of City Council (Glendora Municipal Code, Section 2.04.060). The City solicits applications from persons interested in actively participating in local government. For exact filing dates, please call the City Clerk’s office at (626) 914-8210.
State law (Proposition 208) prohibits appointed officials from making a campaign contribution to the elected officials who appointed them.
Applications are available online or may be obtained from the City Clerk’s Office, at Glendora City Hall, 116 E. Foothill Blvd. Glendora, CA 91741. The City Clerk’s Office is open between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., holidays excepted.
Applications remain on file in the City Clerk’s Office for a period of two years.
