This site describes the Glendora Bougainvillea, the largest growth of Bougainvillea in the United States. Planted at the turn of the century, the vines cover the lower portion of twenty-five, ninety-foot palm trees, stretching for 600 feet. The purpose of the API (Academic Performance Index) is to measure the academic performance and growth of schools. A school’s score or placement on the API is an indicator of a school’s performance level. A school’s growth is measured by how well it is moving toward or past that goal.
Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) is unique among the nation's transportation agencies. It serves as transportation planner and coordinator, designer, builder and operator for one of the country's largest, most populous counties. More than 9.6 million people - nearly one-third of California's residents - live, work, and play within its 1,433-square-mile service area.
The proposed extension will continue the Metro Gold Line from its current terminus in East Pasadena through the cities of Arcadia, Monrovia, Duarte, Irwindale, Azusa, Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne, Pomona, Claremont and Montclair. A trip from Montclair to downtown Pasadena would take a little over 40 minutes and further to Los Angeles would take approximately 75 minutes. It will offer shorter commuting trips, increased energy savings (estimated 1.5 million gallons of gasoline each year) and reduced levels of pollution (estimated 4 tons of carbon monoxide).
Foothill Transit now operates 36 fixed-route local, express and rail-feeder lines, covers 327 square miles, and serves 15 million customers each year. This number is up from 9.5 million at the time of Foothill Transit's original application.
